The tantalizing legend of Cleopatra VII and her lover Mark Antony, entwined in life and death, has left historians and archaeologists with a beguiling mystery. Ancient accounts, including those of the writer Plutarch, have mentioned their joint burial in a "lofty and beautiful" tomb, adorned with treasures beyond imagination.

The specific location of this illustrious tomb, however, has eluded discovery. In 2010, Egypt's former antiquities minister, Zahi Hawass, embarked on excavations near Alexandria at a site known as Taposiris Magna, which boasts a collection of tombs dating back to Cleopatra VII's era. 


While these excavations uncovered various historical artifacts and insights, Cleopatra's tomb remained elusive. Archaeologists have pondered the possibility that, even if it does exist, the tomb may have been plundered to the point of being indistinguishable.
